McCullough’s Tree Service is seeking a Plant Health Care Specialist for its 2026 season (April-November). As a Plant Health Care Specialist, you will be responsible for deep root tree fertilization, foliage application of fungicide, tree injection and vegetation control on commercial and residential properties.
Key Responsibilities

Execute all functions of an integrated pest management program including administration, scheduling, inspections, sampling, treatments and record keeping

Perform plant health care services including deep root fertilization, foliage applications of fungicide, tree injections and vegetation control

Monitor, diagnose and treat insect, disease and cultural conditions affecting trees and shrubs
-
Safely operate, calibrate and maintain equipment and tools

Maintain accurate service records, reports and application documentation

Communicate professionally with customers regarding findings, treatments and recommendations

Uphold all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications

Valid Ohio driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record

Commercial Pesticide Applicator License

1–3 years of experience working in a plant health care or green industry environment

Strong understanding of species-specific insects, diseases, and cultural care practices
-
Ability to perform physically demanding labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Comfortable working independently in the field while contributing to a professional, team-oriented organization
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

ISA Arborist Certification
-
Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape Management, or a related field
