An Attitude of Gratitude

If you start your day with a grateful heart can this help your whole outlook? Many studies have found that having an attitude of gratitude can actually give your brain a sense of happiness. If your brain feels happy then what do you think that does to the rest of your system? Will it improve someone’s overall health? I’d like to think so. It’s always better to be positive and carry happy thoughts than be burdened with sadness and negative feelings, don’t you agree?

Motivational speakers have a place in the world. They talk at trade shows for businesses; they are invited to stage and social media platforms. Many Youtubers watch an influencer that will bring on another influencer. Do you think that sharing the platform for a positive outlook and good information is a win win? I think it is. There’s always something to learn from someone else. There are so many experiences that others have that are valuable to us if we are open to listening. It’s how we connect, learn, grow and repeat positive changes in our lives. One thing in common they have is gratitude.

Sure, there are the negative people around us. But, the good thing is when you are strong in your faith, believe in your worth and hold a feeling of gratitude the negative people won’t bother you. You may feel sorry for them, but they can’t change your mind or your mood. You’re set. It’s a mind thing, and we need to remember that. What happens outside of our brains can or won’t have any impact if we don’t allow it. The saying, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me” has a powerful message. Usually said and repeated by generations of children, but it was and hopefully is a way to teach kids to be tough, and not worry what someone may say about them to purposefully hurt them. I’m definitely grateful for that saying.

Here’s my list of what I’m grateful for:

  • My faith
  • My family
  • My friends
  • My customers
  • My business
  • My health
  • My experiences
  • My future
  • My life
  • What are you grateful for?
